What are these black dots on my stomach after iLipo? Is it a side effect? (Photo)

Question

I was taking my weekly weight loss photos and noticed black dots forming a rash on the sides of my stomach. They look like tiny scabs but are smooth to the touch. I recently had iLipo treatment and was wondering if this could be a side effect of that. Other than that I have had some complications from nasal surgery I did in October and have been on antibiotics from then until end of December therefore my immune system is fairly weak and I just want to make sure that this is not an infection.

Thanks for your question.  I have seen this happen in clients with darker skin.  Dark skin absorbs more heat than lighter colored skin.  It should fade away over time.  You can move the boxes slightly every 5 minutes or so or you can move them a little when they feel hot.  This should spread out the points of heat so that the spots don't form. This shouldn't effect the movement of the calories out of the fat cells, it just distributes the heat so that the dark spots don't form.  It is not an infection especially if the area is not tender to touch, have increased heat to touch, and no discharge from the spots. Good luck.
