I-lipo & Zerona---- I am not a doctor but not a dummy either , & it does appear to me that there is a tremendous amount of sound science to support the theory Low Level Laser Treatment does work. Yes Traditional Lipo is the gold standard , however it comes with many risks & I feel Traditional Liposuction doctors say (which in my opinion is a vested interest opinion by a person who makes his or her money off doing surgeries) Can anyone give an un biased Answer? Based on Studies & Science.

Answer: Non surgical body contouring versus liposuction To determine what is the best procedure for you it really depends on what your expectations are, and what you're starting exam is. If you have a lot of skin laxity, then often the best procedures are things that actually cut out the extra skin such as a tummy tuck arm left breast left thigh lift etc.If your skin tone is very reasonable, then your options are really dependent on the degree of fat reduction that you are looking for. The reason traditional lipo suction or other variations of Liposuction are the gold standard, is that you can be as aggressive as one needs to be to remove the extra fat. The noninvasive approaches which we have in our practice include things like coolsculpting. This is a very effective tool to reduce the fat in very specific localized areas. However it is not the ideal for someone who wants a great deal of fat reduction.I would look for a board-certified plastic surgeon who has both noninvasive and invasive option in their practice. I would then have them really provide a good exam and discuss options and set of expectations for each of those options. Good luck!

Answer: Zerona vs liposuction Thank you for your question. I understand your perceived potential bais of your health care provider. The old adage " if your only tool is a hammer the whole world looks like a nail"It is difficult to compare "the Science" to real life results. All patients have different bodies, skin laxity, diet resistant fat deposits, budgets, fears, time constraints, etc., etc., .....You really need to focus on YOUR specific goals and what you want to accomplish. These are two very different technologies.Personally, we had Zerona in the office for a 3 month trial and was not impressed: variable results, not consistent.did not purchaseCool Sculpt: we are currently trying and early results are goodThermi RF (Not Thermage) we are seeing excellent early resultsLiposuction: traditional or when need coupled with Ultrasonic Liposuction. When needed is the Gold StandardAll three of the above treatments we package with the new Vella Shape III. The additive benefit of skin shrinkage is significantI suggest:1)you make a consult with a Board certified Plastic Surgeon(s) that has both surgical & non surgical modalities in his/her officeother than just liposuction.2)look at Real Self section where you will find what patients are ranking these technologies and what there various outcomes are.
