Can you avoid fat loss with Morpheus8?

Question

I am looking for skin tightening AND volume in cheeks. I do not want to lose any fat in face. Is Morpheus 8 still a good option for me?

Morpheus8 is a great option for those that are interested in skin tightening and collagen stimulation, however it will not aid in replenishing volume. The radiofrequency applied through the microneedles assist in fat loss, so it may not be the best option for you. Instead, you may want to consider microneedling with PRF coupled with dermal fillers. The microneedling will assist in skin tightening and overall refinement of the skin while the dermal fillers can help replenish volume loss. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Thank you for your question, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with skin tightening for the face. I recommend J Plasma, lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, Co2,(Halo)), (plasma pen,) microneedling/(RF/)prp, ultherapy and rf treatments to get the best outcomes. Morpheus8 treatments will melt
fat at a level of 4 mm. The depth used on the face is 1-2 mm. Depending on your
skin type and energy used, fat loss can be diminished. The other option to
consider would be a Vampire Face lift. In our office, we do the Morpheus8
treatment, followed by Juvéderm and PRP. This would maximize your results and
give you the fullness that you are looking for.

Morpheus8 can provide fractional remodeling of the dermis which increases collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin breakdown occurs in everyone and is accelerated after age 40. Morpheus is the only RF microneedling technology that is ablative since each pin is charged and separately grounded provided more precise energy. Each tip delivers precise and uniform energy for 3-d bulk heating to help with skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, fine lines, and texturing. Your provider can adjust depth for different targeted areas to make sure subdermal fat is not targeted (in order to retain volume). In terms of volume restoration, there are many option including your own fat, hyaluronic fillers, biostimulaters, and Renuva which is a honeycomb matrix which uses proteins, growth factors, and allograft fat that gets replaced with your own fat over a 12 week period. I find this regenerative treatment most beneficial in my parents worried about filler face or filler fatigue. Morpheus8 for Skin Tightening is great, it promotes your bodies natural collagen production which continues to work long after the treatment. The depth at which the Morpheus8 machine can penetrate is completely adjustable. The deepest in can go is 4mm, at this depth it will target fat cells, however if you're not trying to destroy fat you could only do it at 2mm(the depth of regular miconeedling) max to help keep fat in your face.

It doesn't really matter what radio frequency RF device is used, but with every single one of them there is always some fatty tissue loss from the high-energy and temperatures created. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City plastic surgery
