I just had the most amazing surgical experience working with Dr. Effie Politis. I am a 58 year old avid fitness enthusiast. No matter how hard I tried, I had excess skin on my stomach that discouraged me. I went to several doctors in California where I live and they all suggested I have a full abdominoplasty, which involves a scar from side to side across my lower abdomen. I was also wrongfully offered cool sculpting which only added laxity to my old abdominal skin which supported 4 full term pregnancies. I discovered Dr. Politis because she does upper abdominoplasty, a procedure I had never heard of. After a virtual consultation, I went for an in person consultation where she gave her hands-on expertise of how she could fix my issues. The procedure involves pulling the skin upward and concealing it under the bra line. The upper abdominoplasty is also used In conjunction with other treatments such as liposuction and Morpheus to tighten the skin. My results from the surgery are unbelievable. I feel that I finally have the stomach that I desire and it is without altering my belly button and leaving me with an obvious scar. I felt safe, comfortable and supported throughout the entire experience, from making the virtual appointment, in-person consultation, office procedures to the surgery center and follow-up treatments.
