I'm 57 and have skin laxity in both my face (which is causing the beginning of jowls) and neck. I had a consult with a surgeon recently and he thinks I’m a good candidate for FaceTite. So I’m trying to decide between that and a mini face/neck lift. Given the investment I want to do the one the gives me the best and longest results. What are your thoughts?

Answer: Would FaceTite be my best option to fix my skin laxity or should I consider a mini face and neck lift? (Photo) Patients who opt for Facetite are seeking a more youthful look but do not want to deal with an invasive surgery, the scars of a face lift, or the recovery time. Results of a face lift typically last about 10 years depending upon the level of undermining, level of support of deeper tissues, and amount of skin removed along with patient dependent factors; Facetite, about five, but it can be combined with Fractora to provide improved results over time. Answer: FaceTite for skin laxity In general, a facelift will always give more dramatic improvement than any non-surgical procedures such as FaceTite. It is a bit difficult to fully evaluate your face and neck with only the one photograph though, so I could not tell you which procedure might be better for you.

Answer: Probably a lift, though FaceTite would give some improvement if you wanted to put off a lift. It is hard to evaluate your condition without more views and better pictures. Both treatments have advantages and disadvantages. At 57, a lift is always going to reverse the aging process and make you happier with the end result. But too conservative of a mini-lift will not make you look either much different, last for a long duration of time, or, worse, not leave a natural appearance. The best solution is usually a deep plane lift, which requires no more recovery or risk than a mini-lift. It makes for a natural, longer lasting result in a younger individual. FaceTite will give you some improvement, depending on what your neck looks like. It could be a good interim solution.

Answer: Options to consider Thanks for your question! Without some more angles, it's hard to speak to your specific concerns and expected outcomes. However, most people choosing between FaceTite and mini lift need to consider their priorities. FaceTite is lower downtime, fewer scars, and great results in the hand of a good practitioner. A mini lift will have more dramatic results, more scarring, and can vary from surgeon to surgeon (just be sure to thoroughly check out their before and afters). I'll usually do a combination treatment of FaceTite with a small submental incision for patient's who can't choose between the two and are candidates for both. Ultimately depends what your biggest concerns might be! Perhaps talk to your surgeon about possibly combining some of the options.Best of luck!
