Glycolic acid to address discoloration on legs and hands

Question

I'm 39, until last year I was religiously protecting my entire body, including face against sun rays.Last year I decided to indulge in the sun, and continued this summer. I will not do it anymore as it left lots of discolored spots on my hands and legs. I was using 30 spf on my face all the time so my face is blemmish free. Can 30-70% glycolic acid peel help remove brown spots? How often should I use it?

Brown spots need to be assessed to se if they are related to sun, irritation, scar etc.  they are all treated differently.  I suggest a formal consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer.
