Chest lines. I am thinking of getting a glycolic peel. is there a better option?

29 y/o, fair skin, sun damaged. I've just started noticing fine vertical lines leading from my cleavage to upper chest. (I know from side sleeping, trying to sleep on back now) I am thinking of getting a glycolic peel. Is there a better option? Also, will dermal fillers work for deep necklace bands?

The chest area (or décolleté') responds extremely well to laser treatments, advanced medical peels such as VI Peel or micro needling.  Glycolic peels are superficial peels best used to treat light sun damage, acne and fine lines and wrinkles by 'loosening' the intercellular cement on the surface of facial skin.  Since the décolleté has no oil glands and is thicker skin than the face I would recommend different treatment options.One of the great things about the chest area is that it responds well to treatments and downtime is not normally a factor.  The fall and winter are great times to treat the décolleté with laser treatments such as VBeam and AlexTriVantage for redness, brown spots, vertical lines and wrinkles as well as texture or CO2RE.  Microneedling is a fantastic option with multiple treatments indicated usually spaced one month apart.The VI peel uses stronger, deeper and more aggressive chemicals to improve the appearance of brown spots and sun damage and usually one or two suffices.I recommend an in-person consultation to map out a treatment plan based on the best options for your skin and it's condition.Good luck.

Glycolic acid will not do much but botulinum toxin (Botox) etc works very well as does thermage.  Fillers will not work on neck bands but again Botox will
