I wanted to get mod+ but my P'S suggested HP because he says I have a small chest wall. However I want to look natural, I measure 33"chest, 27" waist and 38" hips. I want to look as natural as possible and be a small D (currently 34A), I picked 400cc but might go smaller. My breast are naturally low and separate from each other. Would mod+ come out to the side of my chest and overwhelm it and look bigger than my hips? Would HP give me that fullness on top that I don't want? Thank you

Answer: From A to D cup Dear lil, Thanks for submitting your picture. In order to obtain consistently natural looking breasts with the size that you desire there are few steps that need to be taken : 1. measurements are critical. In your case, assuming that you are 34 A, in order for you to be a 34 small D you will need roughly 425cc. If you are a 34 small A, than you will need a bigger implant. 2. Meticulous dissection, so that you get nice cleavage and enough room for the implants to move. Moderate profile implants are the only ones used in my surgery center and they do not come out excessively because it is the surgeon who determined with his dissection , how much the implants come out. Also, usually the crease has to be lowered for the breast to look perky. 3. Displacement massage training to avoid hardening and unnatural look. Consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who are familiar with the measurements method. Check the before and after pictures to make sure that you like the results. Best of luck, Dr Widder

Answer: How to look natural with an Implant. Thanks for your question and Photograph.Everyone generally wants to look as natural as possible. Here is some general thinking that I share with my patients.Don't think about the cc number of an implant but think about how it fits your frame overall.Think hips more than breast- an implant that is too narrow will look like a torpedo, an implant that is too wide will look top heavy. Seek a width that balances and compliments the curve of your hips.Consider your overall height. A tall woman can carry a larger implant and look more believable than a shorter woman.Think about the starting amount of breast tissue you have. A woman with a B or more will have more natural tissue on top of the implant and look more natural than someone who starts with minimal breast tissue.Under the muscle looks more natural than over the muscle because the muscle draping over the top of the implant softens the transition from the chest wall to the breast.Silicone implants tend to look more natural than saline.I keep implant sizers in my office. I have my patients try on actual implants to help see how they look on their own frame. I think this exercise would be helpful for you. Ask your surgeon to try on actual implant sizers. Bring different shirts and even a friend for a second opinion.Hope this helps.
