I signed for Invisalign, 2k downpayment. I get my impressions done. Was told to wait 3 weeks for my aligners to come in. 3 weeks are here, instead I get a call saying I need to retake my impressions. Instead of scheduling an appointment to get my molds retaken, I ask to cancel. The staff then proceeds to tell me that I cannot cancel because they already sent out the information to Invisalign. Im lost here. they don't have my proper molds, I don't have my alligners why cant I get a refund?
Answer: #Invisalign buyer's remorse I'm sorry that this happened to you, but it sounds as if you got some misinformation from the front office. Many times, patients leave bad reviews on doctors on various websites, based entirely on misinformation given by the front office. I encourage you to request to speak with the doctor or that he call you back. Once you get him on the phone, explain to him the situation, then kindly request a refund. I'm almost certain that he would not have a problem with helping you to get your money back, minus a small compensation for his office time and materials used. Good luck to you and I hope this helps. Answer: Cancel my invisalign treatment Invisalign treatment consists of two partsapprox 1/3 of the fee is the cost of the actual invisalign appliances and the other 2/3 is to pay for the orthodontist/dentist expertise and office expenses for the impressions/treatment planning/treatment/retentionIf they need new impressions then the treatment was never approved, and thus the dentist owes nothing to the company for the aligners. You should only have to pay for the impressions and time the doctor spent to get you to this point. A not insignificant fee, but certainly it should be less than 1/2 the original quoted cost as the doctor does not have to pay for the aligners nor do any treatment nor provide retainers

Answer: Refund OK, here's the deal. It's not uncommon that the impressions need to be retaken. However, if that is the stage that your case is at, then the dentist has not yet incurred a lab fee. He could cancel your case and refund part of your money, but he is entitled to be paid for what was done so far (records and such). Further, if he is taking impressions the conventional way, as he obviously is, then he's not a very experienced or committed Invisalign provider, or possibly even a specialist (orthodontist). Those of us who are, have gone to digital impressions which are far more accurate and if the impression was not acceptable then he would have known it right then and would have corrected it when originally taken. Get your money back and go to an orthodontist.

Answer: Getting a refund before the aligners are received This is a tricky one. The dentist has spent over 2 hours on your case consult and planning. He or she would have submitted a treatment plan online which means that an order has been submitted. The cost of Invisalign includes dentist costs, dentist time and aligner fees.So you should be able to get some of this back.I usually charge £1000 for all work done before aligners are received from Align, If a patient wants to then cancel then I keep the £1000, but I am already out of pocket, time and I have a box of bespoke aligners, that don't fit me.
