Bite is off during Invisalign treatment?

Question

I'm currently on tray 5 and I started feeling that my bite was off on both sides (molars) towards the end of tray 3. First week into tray 4, the bite on the right side was back to normal. I can bite down normally with upper molars and lower molars resting where they were before treatment but the bite on the left side is still off. It really bothers me when I eat. I'm chewing less because it feels weird. Is this normal? Is it because my teeth are moving?

It is pretty normal to have your bite affected by Invisalign during treatment, but it is uncommon for your bite to be off at the end of treatment.  If your bite remains off through the end of treatment, then I would suggest asking for a refinement.  However, in the meantime, pay close attention to it and keep your doctor posted, so that he/she can possibly do a mid-course correction if he/she deems necessary. It is normal for the bite to change as you are wearing the
aligners and to feel uncomfortable at times as the teeth being moved. It should
only be a temporary stage in your treatment and the bite should feel
comfortable again as you get closer to eh end of the treatment.
