Hi. There are a couple of things to remember.1. You are very early post-op. If you have sub-muscular implants, the muscle and soft tissues need a little time to relax - about 3 or so months. Then, the muscle won't be compressing the implant quite as much as it is now, and it will look "rounder". It's too early to tell right now about the final shape. 2. With your petite frame, there is a limit to how much a surgeon can safely place in the tissues. A 475 cc implant in a 104 lb lady may be close to that. If you want to be larger, you may have to wait some time for the tissues to stretch, before your tissue could potentially handle a larger implant. Speak to your surgeon about your concerns. All the best,
I would wait at least 4-6 months to allow the tissues to adapt, the capsule to mature and your "mind" to adjust. At that point your result will be more stable and you and your surgeon will be better able to make a more predictable and accurate recommendation for the appropriate implant for your goals.
I would encourage you to wait a few months for the muscles to loosen up a bit. This is likely not your final result. Additionally, given the size of the implants which are on the large side, you need more time for stretching out before attempting a larger implant.
This is a very important issue to be disscused with your ASAPS member Plastic Surgeon prior to a Breast Augmentation. We have templates and samples at the office in order to explain to each patient in front of the mirror. Definitely this is a hugh size according to your built and weight. You can replace them formsmaller ones 3 months after your prior surgery.
Sorry to hear your not happy with your size. You may want to wait a few months before reoperation because when the implants settle, they might look bigger to you. Also, most women hunch their shoulders forward right after surgery and this tends to hide the true size of your breasts. Be careful going much bigger. There are significant long-term ramifications of implants larger than what you already have (bottoming out, back and neck pain, breast discomfort, thinning of lower breast tissues, increased chance of losing nipple sensation, etc).
Without photos it is hard to imagine someone of your weight looking small with that size of implants. Your next step must be a conversation with your surgeon to discuss options. Many of us prefer not to do early reoperations for non-emergent problems, avoiding impulsive decisions by patients during the early period after surgery. Sometimes compression by the pectoral muscles distorts one's impression of the ultimate size that will be apparent by three months in most patients. Call your surgeon to discuss your dissatisfaction and together make a plan. All the best.
Thank you for your question. It is far too early to be concerned about the appearance of your breast implants. Early in recovery the breast implants are flattened against the chest wall and look much smaller than they will once the implant drops into the breast pocket. You really need to wait 3 months to evaluate your result before considering larger implants. 475 cc breast implants are a very good full size and most people. As the implant adjusts to your body the breast should look Fuller and more natural.
