My knees are very droopy with large indentations. It has been suggested that I get liposuction on the medial knees and fat grafting in the indentations. Will this work? I’m concerned about it looking worse, or there being a long recovery time. I don’t see any leg/ knee photos for fat grafting- mostly face. I have seen multiple plastic surgeons about my legs over the past 7 years. I’ve had VelaShape II and Thermage - neither were very effective. Thank you for your advice!

Answer: Loose skin Dear LooseLegs,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: We have had the best results with Thermi RF in this area Thermi RF is a radiofrequency treatment that is performed in the office. A small incision is made, using local anesthesia, and the area is infused with a small amount of tumescent fluid. The radiofrequency tip is inserted and heat delivered to the area to tighten the skin. We have had great results with anterior and medical knees using this procedure.
