I am 42 yr old woman and I have indentations by the outer eye/temple. I have had restalyne silk injected and it is still very noticeable. I am self conscious because I feel like it is dragging my eye downward rather than upward. What can I do?
Answer: Fixing Indentations Of The Temples Filler injections can be used to improve hollowness or indentations of the temple area. Restylane Silk is a smooth filler meant for superficial injections and is not appropriate for the temples. Please see an experienced provider to determine which filler would be most appropriate for you. Best wishes.

Answer: Temple/Eye Indentations For temple/outer eye volume, the goal is to use something that is easy to inject and can be evenly spread out - otherwise you will get unevenness and lumps/bumps. There are generally two approaches to this area. The first is using a semi-permanent filler like Sculptra. Sculpta is "semi-permanent" as it encourages development of your own collagen over time. Sculptra has been used in this area safely and effectively for years. The alternative approach is to use a temporary hyaluronic acid (HA) filler, like Voluma, which is diluted with saline so that it is more "liquidy". This is reversible with a second injection (if the effect is undesired), but it requires repeat injections about every 9-12 months to maintain the effect. Its very hard to tell from your single photo, but it appears the Restylane may have been injected too close to the eye, causing a bulge just outside the eye. This should ideally be evened out with some injection farther back, over the whole temple area. The only way to know for sure is to have an in-person consultation with an expert in facial plastic surgery. Hope this helps. Best, Dr. Cabin

Answer: Injections for Temples The best injection that I have found for the temples is Sculptra. It is liquid based and produces your own collagen in that area. It will last over two years once the full effect is reached. Please consult an expert in Sculptra for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green

Answer: Sculptra Hello, For the temple area, I prefer using Sculptra Aesthetic. Sculptra is superior to other options because it works to rebuild the collagen that has been lost in the skin, making the results last as long as two years. Sculptra is great to add volume to sunken cheeks, temples, and the jaw line. Depending on the severity and depth of the wrinkles, you can expect to receive two to six initial treatments to achieve the desired results, typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Every case is different, and some clients report noticeable positive results after just one treatment.
