I've recently injected with 0.8ml of Restylane® (the basic one, not defyne, refyne, lyft, silk etc) in my right cheek for acne scars. I'm not very satisfied with the results, but instead of using hyaluronidase I've decided to wait it out. So how long will it take to dissolve completely & by when can I start seeing some visible drop in volumes (half life/mid point). Also, it's been 8 weeks since the injection so can I proceed with treatments like microneedling & Subcision, or should I wait more ?
Answer: Restylane Thank you for your question. Restylane is indicated to last about 6 months. Everyone breaks it down slightly different. At 8 weeks yes you can definitely resume with any treatments that you would like to do. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Unsatisfied with Restylane for acne scarring: Know your treatment options Hello, and thank you for your question. Restylane dermal fillers deliver results that can last up to 12 months or longer, depending on the Restylane product, treatment area, and other factors. It is also safe to go ahead and undergo other cosmetic treatments like microneedling at this point. RF microneedling is an excellent option for treating acne scarring, as it combines the collagen-boosting benefits of microneedling with gentle radiofrequency heating to enhance the results. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon. Such experts can give your skin a proper evaluation, recommend the best treatment plan that is customized to your unique needs and goals, and ensure the best possible results.

Answer: Restylane I'm sorry you are unhappy with your Restylane treatment. Typically the product will be metabolized gradually over a year. You can consider hyaluronidase to dissolve it if you change your mind and do not wish to wait.

Answer: Acne Scarring -- Needs Combination of Subcision; Fillers Like Bellafill; Lasers Like Fraxel/Erbium/CO2; TCA Cross; Fractora RF Acne scars need a combination approach for long-term improvement. Everyone has a unique pattern of acne scarring, and most people have various types of scars, so we create a tailored treatment plan for each patient. We often use: - Injectable fillers like Bellafill and Sculptra (with or without subcision) for atrophic, indented scars. - Subcision for depressed, tethered scars. - Vascular lasers like Yellow laser, Aerolase, excel V, BBL, or IPL for redness or thick acne scars. - Lasers such as Fraxel, Erbium, CO2, Halo or fractional radiofrequency (Venus Viva, Skinfinity, Morpheus, PiXel8, Fractora, Intensif microneedling RF) for textural issues and superficial scarring. - TCA CROSS and punch excision for deep ice pick scars and narrow box car scars. All lasers are combined with microneedling/PRP to improve the results and accelerate your healing time. Keep in mind that a personalized combination treatment by an expert physician will give you the improvement you're looking for. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and acne scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
