Was my Restylane filler done correctly or do I need more? (photos)

Question

Was done 3 months ago. At first the filler looked perfect. As time passed, in my opinion it looks not as great. 2ccs total were given (Restylane). Plastic surgeon told me I needed 2 while derm told me I only needed one. What should I do?

Hi @Queen Mercury. Thank you for sharing your photos. I would recommend additional filler in your cheeks and tear trough. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications.

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photos. It is unusual for filler to dissolve so quickly. If you looked good at first, then too much filler was not injected. Your problem is unclear to me. Make an in-person appointment with an oculoplastic surgeon for detailed evaluation and proper guidance. Good luck!

It is difficult to tell from your photos what exactly you might need to achieve the results you desire, so I recommend that you follow up with your injector and talk with them about your concerns. As always, it is best to see a board-certified facial plastic surgeon when getting any sort of facial work done - even something seemingly simple - because you want the most beautiful, safest results you can possibly achieve. If you were happy with your filler immediately after treatment and then felt it changed shortly afterward, the change may have been attributed to any swelling resolving.  In that case a small touch up should get you back to the result you like.

It appears that you need more filler.  Mid face and upper cheek and a bit in the tear trough.
They should have have scheduled you for a follow up.
