Visible Incision Scar from Rhinoplasty / Alar Base Reduction? (photo)

I think you would benefit from a scar revision. You really don't have much to lose as this can be done with local anesthesia.

        The scars are well placed but they have a depression at the site of closure.  This area can be reexcised and closed to produce a smoother transition.  Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of rhinoplasties and rhinoplasty revisions each year.  Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results.

Visible scarring is always a possibility in the alar base region. Sometimes this is due to your anatomy and can be unpreventable, more often it is due to the healing process, and only rarely due to placement of the incisions. Occasionally the scars can be re-excised; deep fx laser may be useful, as may dermabrasion. Best for you to consult with another experienced surgeon to get a second opinion.
