It is best to avoid any intense physical activity for 4-5 weeks after rhinoplasty. Not doing so may increase swelling and delay your healing time. I would recommend following up with your surgeon, as they may have specific guidelines they would like you to follow. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.
In an uncomplicated rhinoplasty was normal convalescence I permit my patients to start athletic activity in about two weeks. However you should follow the advice of your surgeon.
We are asked this question a lot at our practice and we tell our patients the cast or splint remains on your nose for 7-10 days after the procedure and during that time rest and no exercise is suggested. In general, it is good to refrain from sports which require exertion for 6-8 weeks since this can increase the swelling in the nose however you should always check with your surgeon for specific guidelines in this area.
Dear Jessica overall, a few weeks of rest and recovery will help with healing and decrease swelling if you did exert yourself, you might feel lightheaded or have slight nose bleeds as long as the nose skin is not touched a facial should be fine (most aestheticians have protocols for post rhinoplasty) Best Wishes
I let all my patients do full exercise 2 weeks following rhinoplasty surgery provided they do not get hit in the nasal area
In general, one should avoid exercise for three weeks after a rhinoplasty. Also, one should avoid trauma to the nose (this includes wearing glasses) for six weeks following a rhinoplasty. Best wishes.
Depending on what was done during the rhinoplasty I usually tell my patients to avoid strenuous physical activity for 2 weeks and nasal trauma for 6 weeks after surgery.
As long as a postoperative course has not been complicated, I allow my patients to start running after 2 weeks. I instruct them not to place any pressure on the nose for 4-6 weeks depending on whether osteotomies (nasal bones broken) were done or not. Ask your plastic surgeon what his or her protocols are for postoperative activities, as your surgeon's recommendations may differ. Thank you for your question. Best wishes.

You will still be considerably swollen after one week. Swelling can cause the appearance of asymmetry and irregularities. In general, 70% of the swelling is resolved after the first 3 months and the remainder goes down over time. Your final result may not be evident for 18-24 months after...
