Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Hi @reddyseema32. The Cosmelan peel is one of the most effective treatment options for hyperpigmentation and melasma. I also recommend limiting your sun exposure and wearing daily SPF. Best of luck,Dr. Nima
Hyperpigmentation of any kind needs a combination approach of peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (EmerageSkin roller with anteage AERIFY MD ampules weekly,; lasers like Clear + Brilliant, Aerolase or Laser Genesis; radiofrequency like Venus Viva; and constant skin care and sun protection. Bimonthly facials with SilkPeel DermalInfusion are essential to hydrate, exfoliate and infuse vitamins and antioxidants into the skin. If you have acne you can do additional treatments and peels to get more improvement. Hypopigmentation will need more of an evaluation and possibly additional lasers to get improvement. I suggest a formal consultation with an expert in lasers and peels. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hello, there are several things to try to improve and even skin tone. A chemical peel designed for your skin type that has skin lighteners and brighteners may help, as will adding products to decrease areas of hyperpigmentation, such as SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense. And most importantly, please use sunscreen at all times, as sun damage can darken skin and when you use lightening products, your skin is more sensitized and requires the protection of at least SPF 30 at all times.
Hello !Hyperpigmentation is a common skin concern in Indian skin. Here are some tips that can help treat hyperpigmentation on Indian skin:Sun protection: Exposure to the sun can make hyperpigmentation worse, so it is essential to protect your skin from the sun. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day, even on cloudy days.Topical treatments: Topical treatments can help to reduce hyperpigmentation. Look for ingredients like kojic acid, azelaic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C, and retinoids. These ingredients can help to brighten the skin, even out skin tone, and reduce hyperpigmentation.Chemical peels: Chemical peels can help to reduce hyperpigmentation by removing the top layers of the skin. This can help to reduce the appearance of dark spots and improve skin texture.Laser treatments: Laser treatments can be an effective way to treat hyperpigmentation. They work by targeting the melanin in the skin, which can help to reduce the appearance of dark spots.Professional skin treatments: Professional skin treatments like microdermabrasion and dermaplaning can help to exfoliate the skin, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve skin texture. It is important to note that hyperpigmentation can be a stubborn skin concern, and it may take some time to see results. Consistency and patience are key when treating hyperpigmentation. Also, it is important to consult a dermatologist to determine the best treatment plan for your skin type and concerns.I hope this helps, best of luck !
The best place to begin is a visit to an experienced aesthetician in a med spa. After an evaluation a customized skin care regimen will be recommended to treat the hyperpigmentation as well as products to keep it healthy and balanced in the future. There are chemical peels that can be used in conjunction as well.
