Excel V laser treatment purple spots: Two days and no change? (Photo)

This can occur after Excel V laser treatment for telangiectasias (broken capillaries). It is a small amount of blood leaking into the tissues. Essential a small bruise. It is nothing worrisome. Actually sometimes they can be treated with the Excel V laser as well. They should go away on their own in a week or so.

Speaking with your provider about your concerns is important. It appears you have some bruising from your treatment. This frequently occurs with thin skin or when someone is taking a medication that causes the blood to thin. Both of which easily cause bruising. The bruises usually heal within 7-14 days and the results should be great. 

Though I’d surely show your treating provider, it looks like you have some bruising in areas. It’ll be fine in a few weeks after they fade. Laser settings for redness in years past were often set with the goal of bruising. Though they take a while to fade, the vessels are destroyed. We don’t really have bruising as a treatment endpoint anymore but you will get a fine result.
