Why do I have a sharp pain in my chest on left side under implant when I breath in?

Hi I am 3 1/2 weeks post op breast aug, silicone 500CCS...my ps used the dual plane technique n my breast look great! but I am feeling a sharp pain under my left implant when I inhale, why is this? is this normal? its only when i breath in

Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to have aches and pains after surgery. The total recovery time from a breast augmentation is several months, so you still have a lot of healing ahead of you. The pain is likely nerve irritation but always best to see your surgeon if the pain gets worse rather than better. Best of luck.

You really need to contact your Plastic Surgeon and either see him/her or seek medical attention.  This could be something benign or could be related to an issue in your lungs.I hope that helps!

This pain could be from the implant surgery, or could be related to the lungs.  It is best to have it checked out to make sure it is not something significant.
