Necrosis vs. bruising: I had an extended tummy tuck and lipo/BBL 10 days ago. (Photos)

Question

Since I came home I have had a big bruise under my belly button, it has gotten lighter in color, but 2 days ago it had blisters that popped and now look weird, every time I put my compression garment on they bleed. I did have a horrible allergic reaction to the tape that was placed all over my body. What do you think necrosis ?

Thank you for your question.  It is hard to give a proper answer without a clinical examination but from your photos and history it seems like you have some borderline blood supply to that portion below the belly button and not it has progressed to patches of skin loss or necrosis.  This is a situation that should be reviewed by your surgeon in person as soon as possible.  I would contact their office today and set up an appointment.  I would also ask them about wearing the compression garment (or not) before you get in to see them.

It is difficult to answer your question without examining you however from reviewing your photos it appears that you have some skin changes that maybe consistent with necrosis. It is best to contact your board certified plastic surgeon and have an examination sooner the better. Good luck.
