Question

I have a chin too small for my face, and I really want to get something done to make my chin longer, but unsure of what exactly. ISince I have a high forehead and a small chin, I feel like it makes my forehead more prominent. The lack of chin gives me an “alien” look and I don’t like it. Due to this, I am constantly pushing my jaw forward to make my chin appear longer, but I’d rather not do that. However, I am resting my jaw in the photos

A deep mentolabial fold is an indication that the chin is short in the vertical plane. The best way to lengthen a chin and diminish the mentolabial fold is with a sliding genioplasty. Chin implants work well for horizontal movement of the chin. The genioplasty is performed in the office with an intravenous anesthetic and most patients can return to work in 3-5 days.
