I got a tummy tuck 5 weeks ago and I dont have neither a flat tummy or a solid belly, still saggy. The Dr marked a higer area but he didnt went that high, my belly button was relocated, when I asked him about muscles rest, his answer was "partially", the weight of what he removed and his answer was from 10 to 15 pounds, does the weight of what they removed is not important? I know I need a 2nd surgery for mons pubs in about 3 to 4 months, so can he do anything better? Should I change my Doctor?
Answer: Large Abdominoplasty Hello, Whether or not the job was done well or that it could have been done better is a matter of opinion, but it is clear there is more to do, possibly more for you to do too. What I mean is that you will not only need more surgery to optimize the job that was already done, but you may want to consider loosing weight on your own to aid in the reduction of intra-abdominal fat (under the muscle where surgeons can't remove it). This will allow the surgeon to tighten the abdominal wall, which in turn will give the flattest possible abdomen once more skin and fat is removed. I suggest seeing a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons who specialize in body contouring and have at least a decade or more experience. Best of luck!

Answer: Unhappy with results Though you are early in your recovery, it appears you will need to lose weight before expecting improvement from a revision. Reducing internal fat (the fat around your organs) will allow your surgeon the opportunity to improve your results and better flatten the abdomen.

Answer: Panniculectomies focus only on removing hanging tissue and usually do not involve transposing the belly button as you say you had done. You were not an ideal candidate for a cosmetic tummy tuck due to your size and rolls. And are you at a weight that you can easily maintain or are you fluctuating weight wise? Contouring procedures should only be done when your weight is stable. If you were my patient, lipoabdominoplasty would have been discussed where aggressive liposuction is used to thin the flap and excess skin still removed. In addition, liposuction of your flanks would have also been required to achieve a decent shape. If your BMI was more than 30, you would have to accept the higher risks for problems and if >40, you would have to be done in a hospital with greater costs.

Answer: Not happy with tummy tuck You need to lose your intra-abdominal fat prior to having any revision surgery. This is because it is impossible to tighten your belly when the internal contents are pushing out as they are. So please lose approximately 20 pounds prior to your tummy tuck revision.
