What are the side effects of truSculpt iD?

We have seen no side effects with the truSculpt iD other than some redness for about 1 hour post treatment.  We do caution patients they may have some tenderness over the treated areas for a couple of weeks following treatment but no other side effects.

A heat sensation / marked warmth is expected in the treatment site
Sweating is common after therapy due to marked heat generated
Tingling and slightly tenderness to the treatment site may be present for an hour
Occasionally, warmth and excess heat can be present at the grounding pad

The number one side effect is extremely red skin where the device is placed for an hour or two. Some people have had sensitivity to the sticky pads or grounding pads on their skin. One side effect is mild soreness in the treated area. Lastly, the first treatment may not produce enough of a result so a second treatment may be needed.

For most large areas side effects are limited to redness and short term tenderness. The submental area (under the chin) tends to be a bit more tender for a longer period of time. Be sure to contact your provider if you have any concerns post procedure.

The most common side effect is tenderness in the treatment area which may last up to 2 weeks. There is also the possibility of heat induced skin abrasion but it is extremely uncommon.
