Went to have inner under eye hollowness filled & was told it was best to put filler Voluma on the cheekbone to correct this. My cheekbones now prominent. My lower cheeks look chubby too (filler wasn't even placed there). Swelling? Undereyes appear even more hollow, due to the larger cheeks and cheekbones. Made a lumpy 3/4 view of my upper cheek. Now it is a bump below eye, indention then projects out at the midcheek. Swelling or misplaced filler? Why put filler in cb vs. in the undereye direct?

Answer: Under eye filler In some patients it is necessary to place filler in the cheeks to build support for the lower eyelid area in addition to filler in the under eye area to make the lid-cheek transition smooth. Without pictures it is not possible to determine if that was needed in your case. If your filler was placed in the last 2 weeks the irregularities could still be swelling. Give it 2 weeks and then see your injector to discuss your concerns. Good luck!

Answer: Chubby cheeks You don't say how long ago you had the filler placed. There can be swelling in the area that can last up to two weeks or more. Oftentimes it is necessary to lift the cheeks before filling in the eye hollows to get get the best results. I will often do this over 2 visits. Your injector should have discussed with you the overall plan. If you are unhappy this product can be dissolved or smoothed out.
