Asked for under eye filler and Dr filled my upper cheek bone. Is this swelling? (photo)

It is reasonable to have swelling after the placement of HA fillers. The tear trough and cheek are different areas and it is important to clearly discuss your concerns with your injector. Voluma is a common filler for the cheeks  but you should return to office that performed the injections and ask these same questions. Good luck

I'm not sure when you had your injections, but this may be swelling, which can last 1-2 weeks after injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

In some patient's filler does need to be placed in the midface/cheeks to give the undereye area some support before filler is injected into the tear trough/undereyes themselves. If the procedure was performed recently, the irregularities you are seeing maybe related to swelling/bruising. I recommend you followup with your injector to discuss your concerns. 

In some patients it is necessary to place filler in the cheeks to build support for the lower eyelid area in addition to filler in the under eye area to make the lid-cheek transition smooth. Without pictures it is not possible to determine if that was needed in your case. If your filler was placed in the last 2 weeks the irregularities could still be swelling. Give it 2 weeks and then see your injector to discuss your concerns. Good luck!

You don't say how long ago you had the filler placed.  There can be swelling in the area that can last up to two weeks or more.  Oftentimes it is necessary to lift the cheeks before filling in the eye hollows to get get the best results.  I will often do this over 2 visits.  Your injector should have discussed with you the overall plan.  If you are unhappy this product can be dissolved or smoothed out.
