I want to get BBL asap but just had the Mirena IUD put in. Will that affect having the procedure done?

Dear Amanda_06,it is hard to tell without an examination and more details. In most cases MIrena uses hormones so it should be probably removed prior to surgery. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon and gynecologist. I don’t think the Mirena IUD would affect even though it is hormonal affect. Most hormones, especially the slow release hormones, may cause a negligible risk of increase blood clotting. Generally other precaution in surgery such as hydration and compression during surgery, and you immediately getting up and walking. I think the affect of the Mirena IUD should be negligible when you have your BBL.

I would recommend you to discuss this concern with the PS you selected, also it is important a clearance from the gynecologist to avoid risks and prevent complication during surgery

I would recommend you to discuss this with your PS and your gynecologist, at this moment it is not safe have a BBL. 
Make an appointment with a board certified plastic
surgeon for a good evaluation, talk about your goals and discuss all your concerns.
