Butt implants questions. Is 6 weeks okay to return to pole dancing?

First 2 weeks is the most challenging with swelling, tightness, and discomfort. Also sitting is prohibited for these 2 weeks. Patients may return to work after 2 - 3 weeks as sitting and basic daily activities become easier.  For those whom work from home, return to work resumes much sooner if they can work standing, kneeling, and/or lying down reclined in the "dentist chair" position. After 2 weeks patients may sit for up to 30 minutes at a time, 3 weeks for an hour, and at 4 weeks unlimited.  At 3 weeks patients can resume upper body exercises while standing only, at 4 weeks upper body exercises while seated may be added.  By 6 weeks, all restrictions are lifted as life nears normal again, all exercise (including squats and lunges) and sports may be resumed again but at low intensity, gradually building week by week back to full intensity in 4-6 more weeks. 

I would say that there is always a very small chance that extreme exercise tendencies may disrupt a surgical result. Having satisfied the required six-week recovery period, you should be able to return to pole dancing, squats and cardio. Use common sense in not overdoing it as you get back into your typical workouts.  You can opt for a BBL at later date.  I have noticed that the muscle can be in spasm and the buttock swollen for several weeks.  When the muscle is relaxed and not under tension, the buttock will appear rounder and shapelier.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

You should be able to return to physical activity by 6 weeks. You do have to be careful when pole dancing that you do no place much shear stress on your implants.
