I have had a coolsculpting treatment before and have had decent results. I am wondering if I can still do smart lipo having recieved coolsculpting? also wondering if doing both treatments would have the best results? and if so, how long after coolsculpting can I do smart lipo?

Answer: What type of lipo or non lipo nonsurgical treatment is right for you? The most important part of selecting a treatment is seeing what you look like. This requires a consultation, live or virtual and would give you a meaningful opinion. Generally speaking lipo is more accurate and more effective in achieving body contouring if the surgeon is an expert. Combining both wouldn't make sense, but you can have lipo after cool lipo at any time.

Answer: Smart Lipo after Cool Sculpt Smart Lipo can be performed after Cool Sculpting. In my experience, this is fairly common. There may be prolonged swelling and healing time due to prior treatments, scar tissue, etc. Usually sufficient healing time from Cool Sculpting should be around 6weeks to 3 months, each person may vary. An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.

Answer: Smart Lipo vs Coolsculpting I have done many Smart lipo procedures on patients that have had Coolsculpting previously. Usually it is because they are disappointed and want to look at a more predictable alternative. We may run into some scar tissue from the previous Coolsculpting but it is doable. I see no reason for doing a combination of both as a strategy.

Answer: To answer your question: Yes you can do in smartlipo in conjunction with coolsculpting but you do not need it Hello,Good question. First, you need to know how these treatments work. Coolsculpting is an FDA-approved treatment for permanent fat reduction. It works by freezing the fat cells and once the fat cells are frozen they will be removed by the lymphatic system. While smartlipo is another way to permanently reduced the fat cells and is a little more invasive compared to coolsculpting. In my experience, if the smartlipo is done properly you do not need to get the treatment of that area again. lipo is a beautiful art and normally you need only one treatment to see permanent results. We have lots of patients who get 360 smart lipo and coolsculpting of arms, chin, thigh, and other areas. That is the best way to combine these treatments and not at the same place. I hope I have answered your question. Good luck.

Answer: Liposuction after cool sculpting The great majority of patients who have cool sculpting see minimal results. For that reason it really typically has minimal impact on future Liposuction. For the few people who have substantial fat reduction with Cool sculpting there is simply less fat to remove with Liposuction and you can think of your results has already having been partially accomplished. Most of the cases I’ve seen were cool sculpting worked well had an unfortunate drawback of leaving what looked like cell phone and prince from the suction cup devices used during the procedure. If cool sculpting is truly effective and causes a significant inflammatory response than the conservative time to wait with typically be considered six months which is what most plastic surgeons consider the correct amount of time before revision or secondary Liposuction procedures are done. I don’t believe having had previous cool sculpting will give a better Liposuction result. The great majority of patients I’ve met who’ve had previous cool sculpting came to get liposuction because cool sculpting simply didn’t deliver results. Smart Liposuction which is a trademarked term owned by the cynosure laser company offers very little advantage over any other form of Liposuction. The equipment has very little impact on Liposuction results as opposed to the provider which has an immense impact on results. Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. For that reason I recommend having multiple in person consultations with local experienced board-certified plastic surgeons to find the most talented and experienced provider in your community.
