Does swelling go up and down after rhinoplasty? Is it possible for nose to get back where it used to be? 3 months post op.

I am in almost 3 month post rhinoplasty surgery. I had an open rhinoplasty. - I had 3 functional surgery. Septoplasty, Turbinoplasty and Nasal Valve reconstruction. And rhinoplasty (bridge-silicon+tip-donated cartilage and septum cartilage), osteotomy and bulbous tip reduction. I am Asian male who has thick skin. Last week my nose was good. But now it looks bulbous. Is there any method where I can fasten my healing process? Thank you so much

Yes, swelling can vary. It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. You need to have patience with your body as it begins to heal. The skin, bone and cartilage are all traumatized during surgery. Inflammation (swelling) is the normal response and will help your nose to heal and look beautiful in the end. If, one year from now, you are unhappy with your nose, then that is the time to think about a revision procedure. Right now, concentrate on other things you like to do and let your nose and under eyes take the time to heal. You are still early in your recovery period and the nose is expected to be quite swollen at this point.The majority of the swelling will resolve in 3-6 months, and will continue to resolve as your nose heals for up to 1-2 years. You have not reached your final shape as the nose will continue to heal and reduce in size for up to a year. Once it does reach its final shape you may be more pleased with the appearance of your nose.

It's too soon to tell what your final result will be. You have to give yourself some more healing time.  Your nose and surrounding areas are going to be swollen for a while and you should be consulting the surgeon that performed the procedure but give yourself some time before going back in so some of it can subside. It can take up to a year for final results.
