With my nose and bone structure, is it feasible for me to get a refined nose that is in harmony with the rest of the face? Are there any other procedures would you recommend? I have large cheeks that I am conscious about. Also the sides of my lip corners are uneven (due to different cheek sizes/ bone structure?). What would be some procedures that can be done for these two concerns? Should everything be done at same time? thanks
Answer: Asian Rhinoplasty An Asian rhinoplasty specialist will be able to comprehensively address the issues you have with your nose. One thing to keep in mind though is that there is a limitation to the amount of tip refinement you can achieve (how small/narrow) because of the thickness of your skin. While there are a variety of approaches and techniques employed by various surgeons, it is up to you to do your due diligence to find a rhinoplasty specialist experienced in Asian rhinoplasty in order to achieve the best results possible. Using autologous grafts (tissue and cartilage from your own body) will provide the safest and most permanent results.Consult with 2-3 of these surgeons in person and determine your comfort level with their approach, demeanor, and before and after results. Good luck.

Answer: What procedure should I have done? Asian Rhinoplasty Candidate Your concerns regarding your nose is not uncommon, especially for those of Asian descent. As a specialist in rhinoplasty surgery as it pertains to ethnic rhinoplasty, I can tell you that these are the most common issues I hear patients discuss with me regarding their reasons for wanting to alter the appearance of their nose while still maintaining their ethnic identity: Asian rhinoplasty patients discuss their dissatisfaction with the following: Flat nasal profileSlight nasal bridgeFlared nostrilsWide nasal tipPoor nasal tip strengthI employ specialized surgical techniques for Asian Rhinoplasty and my number one goal is to have a unified vision with my patient. I do not want to harm a patient's ethnic identity, however, I want to allow for each patient achieve the very best results they can and that occurs by having a highly personalized and customized surgical plan. I have over two decades of experience in facial plastic surgery and am able to preserve the ethnic characteristics of my patients while delivering the results they desire. Answer: Asian Rhinoplasty and other options Thanks for sending in your photos. Asian Rhinoplasty is often aimed and refining the shape of the nose on front view and sometimes augmenting the shape on profile. Adding projection to the tip and bridge can make the nose look slimmer on front view. In your case however, your profile is very nice and augmenting it could make your nose look too large from the side. Narrowing the tip cartilages can refine the shape only if the overlying skin is thin. Your skin is thick and would likely camouflage any changes to the tip that could be made surgically. As I'm sure you know its not possible to remove this thick skin with surgery. As for subtle facial contour concerns there are often small surgical and non surgical treatments that can subtly alter the facial shape that you might consider. Best of luck

Answer: Thank you for your question. You would be a good candidate for a rhynoplasty. As a former art student from the LA County of Museum of art, I like to use advanced suturing techniques to narrow the tip of the nose. One can also narrow the bony nasal pyramid and the width of your nostrils. I incorporate the FINNESSE technique, which I invented. I routinely do not pack the nose. Pain and recovery is minimal when compared to traditional techniques. It’s normal for people’s faces to be asymmetric. One maybe able to improve symmetry by injecting fat into the cheek area. You would need a physical examination to confirm this. I hope you find this information useful. For more information please watch the enclosed video.
