Is there more going on than just zingers in my incision site?

I've experienced the burning zingers in my right breast from the get go but since having my stitches out, the incision site on my left breast gets unbearable burning sensations, like a lighter is being held to it. Icing doesn't help much and the nurse prescribed me Valium which isn't helping either. Even before having my stitches removed, I thought maybe I had popped a stitch in the left breast because it had bothered me for a few days and the nurse had trouble removing them from that side.
