I am 45 yo woman w/23yo saline implants that are encapsulated and casuing me pain. I have consulted w/2 plastic suregons. The 1st said he would do capsulectomy and replace. The 2nd suregon said same thing but then suggested removal, wait 6 months to heal and then do augmentation. He is afraid CC has greater chance of coming back vs waiting and the percentage will decrease. Im so confused on what to do at this point. Is it worth considering?

Both colleagues suggested different approaches which are both reasonable. I would like to inform you about another option. Polyurethane sheet covered silicone implants do not conclude with capsular contraction which are one of the best options in secondary cases like yours. Those implants are also very strongly attached where they are implanted and resistant against gravity. I suggest you to consider this option additionally.
