I stopped breastfeeding my son 4 months ago. (He’s 15 months) I had 2 treatments done before my pregnancy and want to start them again however I worry about hormones and photosensitvity.

Thank you for your question in regards to tattoo removal. Laser tattoo removal treatments can resume once you are done breastfeeding. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

You can have laser tattoo removal now that you're finished breastfeeding. Tattoos should be removed with q switched or pico lasers. I recommend the q switched laser for your skin type. We also use the pfd patch to help speed up the process. It will take a series of treatments.
