Can a tattoo removal on my neck cause phrenic nerve damage?

I’ve been to er 8-9 times, shortness of breath, chest feels like it’s going to explode, pain in upper abdomen, jaws clenched, numbness in face and tongue, sharp stabbing pains in left side of chest . Everything checks out to be fine. I do have gerd but I feel it’s not that. Symptoms getting worse weekly/daily. I have been getting a tattoo removed from my neck for the last year and that’s when everything started going wrong with stabbing chest pains too if stomach pains now my jaw and face.

Thank you for your question in regards to tattoo removal. The R20 method is going to be based upon your provider. Over the years, from personal experience I have not found that the R20 protocol to be more beneficial than single treatments, especially with large tattoos with heavy amounts of ink....

It is not recommended to have laser tattoo removal sooner than 6 weeks. It is not beneficial as our bodies have not begun breaking down the ink just yet. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for wound care. I recommend silicone gel with growth factors and hyperbaric oxygen to promote healing. I don't recommend further laser tattoo removal treatments, while this heals. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
