I am considering doing it under local anesthetic. I have had four surgeries and three sets of implants. It’s a long story and I don’t have enough characters in this question to add it. I’m worried that when I take my implants out that I will still have animation Deformation from the pocket under the muscle. I am thinking of taking them out under local and then months later doing a vertical lift. I've had them since I was 18.

Thank you for your question! While wearing a compression garment is not obligatory, I highly recommend that my patients do wear them. Doing so will reduce swelling and the accumulation of blood and fluid in your pocket after explantation. Remember this is temporary.
Dear Explant Journey, every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD

If you have a nipple that is darkened you should have it examined by your surgeon. It certainly could be a simple bruise, but the change in color warrants further evaluation.
