I am considering doing it under local anesthetic. I have had four surgeries and three sets of implants. It’s a long story and I don’t have enough characters in this question to add it. I’m worried that when I take my implants out that I will still have animation Deformation from the pocket under the muscle. I am thinking of taking them out under local and then months later doing a vertical lift. I've had them since I was 18.

Answer: Animation deformity The animation deformity is certainly increased by having an implant. When you take it out, you will experience less because there is no implant to be contracting against. Implant removal under local is certainly an option and can be staged by doing a lift later. I usually combine a lift with fat grafting for patients like yourself when I remove the implants. The fat allows them to maintain some volume post removal. Best wishes.
