Hi! Great question! In my practice we have treated many patients taking blood thinners. None of our patients had black and blue marks post treatment. If a patient is treating many areas I tend to break the treatment in to different days. Make sure your provider is aware of your medications. Also it's always a good idea to keep your doctors in the loop if you are planning a treatment! Good luck to you!
Taking warfarin does not preclude you from getting Coolsculpting fat reduction performed. You may experience a bit of bruising in the treatment area - but even this is not likely.
This is an excellent question. CoolSculpting can be performed while a patient is on blood thinners, however be aware that you may experience temporary bruising in the areas where the applicators are placed. This bruising may last up to 1-2 weeks. If you have any further questions or concerns, I recommend reaching out to your nearest CoolSculpting specialist. Best of luck with your procedure!
CoolSculpting can be performed safely on someone taking blood thinners. It is possible to develop temporary bruising after the treatment though.
Hello, and thank you for your question. Even if you are unable to take a break from your medication for a few days, you should still be able to have CoolSculpting treatments. Your medication may increase the likelihood and severity of bruising afterwards, but this side effect should gradually subside on its own over the next several days. Just make sure you let your CoolSculpting specialist know about any medications and supplements that you are currently taking prior to treatment.
Hi. Yes, Coolsculpt or even Sculpsure, can be done while on blood thinners. However, as the apparatus sucks in the excess fat, you may experience some bruising for a couple of days up to 1-2 weeks. Sculpsure is another modality of treatment which melts the fat instead of freezing it. This laser sits on the surface of the skin as opposed to sucking in the fat so chances of you bruising will be minimized. Hope this helps.-Melody PAC
