Generally, a breast lift is more expensive as the surgery is longer.  Lifting the breast usually requires the removal of skin and breast tissue.  The position of the nipple/areola needs to be raised.  Sometimes implants are placed as well.  In contrast, the placement of implants alone, as is done in a breast augmentation takes less time.  Longer procedures cost more in most practices.

Breast augmentation takes around 1.5 hours to complete and is a day surgery procedure.  Breast lift surgery takes up to 3 hours and usually involves a nights stay in hospital.  Breast lift surgery is more complex and should only be done by a fully qualified plastic surgeon.  Breast lift surgery is more expensive than breast augmentation.
