Hi! The benefit of having surgery while you are younger is that the change is more subtle and therefore less noticeable to others. When you are older, yes, there may be a bigger benefit to the procedure, however many patients prefer to have less dramatic changes so that other's don't notice. It really is whatever's the best time for you! Hope this helps!
If you have excess skin, it can be done at age 34. I have done patients that young who have a history of excess eyelid skin.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Based on the photo, it appears you could be a candidate for it now. I wouldn't wai because you might end up losing the window at which point you can get the maximum improvement with the upper bleph alone, as opposed to adding a brow lift.
It would be difficult to advise you about surgery based on this single photo. In person consultation with a board certified plastic or oculoplastic surgeon to discuss your options is recommended. Good luck.
There does appear to be some excess skin that could easily be removed through a blepharoplasty. If it concerns you, consult with a blepharoplasty surgeon to discuss options. If you do it now, you'll have more years with which to enjoy your rejuvenated appearance. Given your young age, you may wish to have a second blepharoplasty at some point in the future.
If the cosmetic appearance of your lids concerns you, there is no reason to wait. Based on your photo but without an examination, you appear to be an excellent candidate to cosmetically improve the appearance of your eyelids with an artistically performed conservative upper lid blepharoplasty.Following the advice of anyone who would presume to tell you what to do based on a limited 2 dimensional photo without taking a full medical history, examining you, feeling and assessing your tissue tone, discussing your desired outcome and fully informing you about the pros and cons of each option would not be in your best interest. Find a plastic surgeon that you are comfortable with and one that you trust and listen to his or her advice. The surgeon should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.Robert Singer, MD FACSLa Jolla, California
If your problem with the scar persists, scar revision is a good option. I suggest that you focus on the scars in order to be back to normal.
Hi EA, A quick and easy fix is to have a small amount of Botox injected in the muscle of the lower eylelid in the midline just below the eyelashes. Have this performed by an experienced injector only. Good luck and be well. Michael Persky, MD
A surgical brow lift and/or upper bleph will relatively permanently address the problem. I say relatively because you will continue to age, so you will need to do things to maintain the results as long as you can such as regular neurotoxin injections, excellent skincare to keep the skin bouncy...
