I want to have lip fillers to make my lips a little bigger however I’m concerned with how this would effect my gummy smile would it reduce it or just make it look worse ? I have had Botox to help my gummy smile so would it be ok to get fillers and Botox for the gummy smile ?
Answer: Gummy smile? Fillers or Botox Yes, fillers and/or Botox can help a gummy smile. Lip augmentations with fillers is a great option to improve the fullness, suppleness and symmetry of the lips. Results can be very natural-looking and will feel very natural. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers to discuss your desired results and concerns. I hope this helps.

Answer: Would Getting Lip Fillers Affect My Gummy Smile? Lip Fillers and Botox Work Well Together Lip fillers such as Volbella and Restylane can do an amazing job of adding volume and shape to your lips, especially when administered via mini cannulas. However, they won’t do too much for your gummy smile. You can use Botox for a gummy smile in conjunction with lip fillers for a beautiful improvement. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist who’s an expert with both fillers and Botox will get you the best results.

Answer: Filler You should start out with 1cc of juvederm filler or restylane filler and go from there. You do not want to overdo too much filler in the lips. It also depends on the look you are going for too. You can always add more filler to the lips if needed. Just remember if you are going to do your lips and you do not want to bruise you should not take any aspirins or anything that will thin the blood since brusing can occur. One syringe is typically $600.

Answer: Lip Augmentation and Gummy Smile Thank you for your question. Yes, Botox and fillers can help treat a gummy smile. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane can be used to help add volume to the lips and results typically last 6-12 months. As HA fillers are not permanent they can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if not happy with the results. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
