Would getting lip fillers effect my gummy smile? Would they reduce it? Can I do that and Botox at the same time? (photos)

Yes, fillers and/or Botox can help a gummy smile. Lip augmentations with fillers is a great option to improve the fullness, suppleness and symmetry of the lips. Results can be very natural-looking and will feel very natural. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers to discuss your desired results and concerns.

You should start out with 1cc of juvederm filler or restylane filler and go from there. You do not want to overdo too much filler in the lips. It also depends on the look you are going for too. You can always add more filler to the lips if needed. Just remember if you are going to do your lips and you do not want to bruise you should not take any aspirins or anything that will thin the blood since brusing can occur. One syringe is typically $600.

Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane can be used to help add volume to the lips and results typically last 6-12 months.
