Sorry if this is a gross question but I’m worried and my clinic isn’t open til Monday. I have a cold sore on my lip which cracked and opened when I was talking earlier. I could feel and see it leaking some clear liquid (it wasn’t thick) right after so not sure if this is normal (like something from a blister) of if it’s filler coming out. I’ve had the filler a few months so it is settled but my lip is swollen due to the cold sore so its hard to tell if I’ve lost filler. Could it have happened?

Hi marieayala, You should be fine by now. We do caution against using anti-inflammatories before the procedure and only use drugs like Tylenol after. This way, we limit bruising. However, you are way past that stage and should now attend to your ankle.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
