Is it normal for one breast to have shooting pains but the other is fine? I had a BL with implants 16 days ago.

I had an uplift and implants 16!days ago now however the day i was released from hospital I took a reaction to the dressing tape and broke out in loads of water blisters I had to have the dressings removed and redone a week later I went back only to find out I had a reaction to that dressing also and more blisters appeared now the blisters have dried up but I have a constant shooting pain in my left breast I have 375cc silicone under the muscle implants

Thank you for your question.  The answer will vary depending on whom you ask.  In my practice, I will start around 1-2 weeks after surgery as long as there are no areas of delayed healing.  Week 4 is not unreasonable.   Good luck.

Though there is not specific right answer on this, you would probably be best served by not spray tanning 2 weeks before and 3 to 4 weeks after your surgery (provided that your incisions have all healed). Ultimately, you need to ask your plastic surgeon what he/she recommends.Steven Turkeltaub, MD

For the average patient, my recommendation for when one can go swimming after a breast lift and breast augmentation is around four weeks. for those with slower healing or other issues, this can be even longer. If you have had or are having this procedure, you need to ask and follow your plastic...
