Spray tanning before and after breast lift with implants?

Thanks for your inquiry, if you were my patient I would not do it 2 weeks before and a 3-4 weeks after depending on how your incision is healing, but ask your surgeon's office for his/her policy.

Though there is not specific right answer on this, you would probably be best served by not spray tanning 2 weeks before and 3 to 4 weeks after your surgery (provided that your incisions have all healed). Ultimately, you need to ask your plastic surgeon what he/she recommends.Steven Turkeltaub, MD

Since you are having a breast augmentation and lift, I would suggest you avoid spray tanning the breast area 10-14 days before your date of surgery.   I would hold off on spray tanning the breast area for 4 weeks after surgery.  But it is best to ask your plastic surgeon on his/her specific recommendations.  Best wishes,Dr. BasuHouston, TX

I would wait a few weeks before and after to do that. Nobody can really tell you if it will be a problem but why even make it a possible problem?

Thanks for your question.I tell my patients to avoid this for 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery.  I think it is important to prevent any spray tan material from affecting your incision sites.  Hope this is helpful to you.Best Wishes

Thank you for your question. Refrain from spray tanning for two weeks prior to surgery to allow the tanning material to be effectively removed prior to surgery. Just prior to surgery wash with a good antibacterial soap and then refrain from any spray tanning material until the wounds are healed and any suture material has been removed. 

 I would suggest you stop spray tanning for a week before and probably about a week after surgery until all of your wounds are completely sealed. Best of luck!

My advice is to avoid spray tanning for 10-14 days before surgery and after surgery wait until you have been cleared by your surgeon.
