Ears still swollen after 3 weeks after Otoplasty. Is it normal? (photos)

Thanks for sending in your photos. The swelling and redness in your ears after 3 weeks is probably normal. If you feel pain and there is drainage, then an infection is worrisome. Avoid manipulating your ears like wearing headphones, a tight hat, or constantly wearing and removing glasses or sunglasses. Good luck!

This amount of swelling and redness is entirely normal and can last for as long as six months. Give it more time.

Swelling due to ear surgery typically lasts up to two to three weeks after surgery. Look out for any other signs of infection like pain, fever, bleeding, and pus coming from the surgical site. Otherwise, just continue observing it for the meantime.
If the swelling does not subside after a few more weeks, consult a reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon to get a more personalized evaluation of your condition.
