5 years ago I had 5 composite veneers placed on my front teeth. This year I changed them to 10. Since then 5 veneers have fallen off. One dentist said that teeth were prepped too much (shouldn't the bond be strong to dentin with 7th gen glue), one said my bite was the issue. My old dentist thinks it was a mistake during bonding. My teeth have been painful for months and I got gingivitis. My new dentist has suggested changing them to a set of Emax porcelain veneers. Would this be a good solution?

Answer: Composite veneers vs porcelain veneers Composite veneers are not a permanent option. They can chip easily, and also change colors over time. Porcelain veneers are a great option. Make sure you choose a cosmetic dentist that has many before and after pictures to show you and is experienced.

Answer: Emax veneers Yes, porcelain veneers would definitely be the way to go for a more esthetic and permanent result. Veneers are structurally much stronger than composite and are cemented onto the teeth with a resin cement which provides much greater retention. However, your bite needs to be evaluated before starting any treatment. If you are a teeth grinder or your bite is an issue, your dentist might want to consider using Bruxzir Solid Zirconia Veneers (stronger than Emax veneers) or Full Porcelain or Zirconia Crowns. Hope this helps.
