Should I come off Accutane? If my skin is already the way I want it to be, do I really need to carry on taking the tablets?

I suffer with mild acne and I have been on Accutane for 3 months now. I'm on 40mg a day, 5ft3 tall and weigh around 63 kilos. My eczema has returned after not having it for 15 years, my dermatitis is 10 times worse which I suffer quite bad with anyway, I have red patchy scaly legs and my mood swings and emotions are horrendous! My acne has basically cleared up and I feel alot more confident in my skin, do I really need to carry on taking them if my skin is now the way I want it too be?

A full course of Accutane is usually between 8000-16000mg cumulative total. If you want your acne gone for the long term then you need to get to these levels. If you want to go on the medication again possibly and not have a full cure rate, then you can stop now, but my guess is this is NOT what you'd want, so I'd continue."This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot
