Thank you for your question. The pubic hair left should not interfere with your surgical procedures however you can trim the hair if you feel the need to. Shaving could pose a risk of infection so it is advisable to discuss with your surgeon when and if they want you to shave for the procedure. Best to ask your surgeon. They will have their own specific protocol before surgery.In our office we would asked the patient to avoid shaving with a razor and instead use clippers to trim the hair prior to surgery.
Hello, thank you for your question. This is something that is not proscribed before doing surgeries. However we all know that shaving may irritated skin and cause minor lacerations that can lead to skin infection. My advise is that if you're doing it you should do it 72 hours prior having surgery.
