Had ultherapy on upper neck and lower face 12 days ago. I am still swollen. Looks like double chin. Any suggestion?

Ultherapy is a no-downtime procedure for the vast majority of my patients that I have treated in my NYC practice but I have had a couple of patients who did note some swelling for a few days.  The swelling goes away and usually increased collagen production occurs from the procedure ( which is the desired product of Ultherapy) which then produces a good result. Gentle massaging may help lessen swelling faster but one should allow their physician to evaluate their condition and have him or her advise such.

Ultherapy can be used on all skin types, namely Fitzpatrick I - VI. Ultherapy is nearly painless and in most cases there is no procedure related down time. As such, I see little in the form of swelling except at the jaw near the corners of the mouth in some patients. Ultherapy is a single application procedure in most cases. Ultherapy takes between 70-90 minutes. Finally Ultherapy uses high frequency ultrasound (HIFU) energy and as mentioned above, ClearLift uses laser energy.
