Post lipoma removal, extra loose skin left on forehead. Will this flatten out and level along with the rest of my forehead?

I had a lipoma removed from my forehead 2nd week in October... And of cause had all the initial symptoms of post surgery on the forehead. It's a little bumpy but certainly not as prominent as when the lipoma was in there.

After lipoma removal, particularly in the forehead,  the skin tends to contract rather well.  Granted it's only been a few months, and without pictures its hard to know what you progress currently has been.  If you are truly concerned, I suggest going to see your doctor for a follow up.

Thank you for sharing your question.  In general the skin of the forehead tends to contract very well after removal of lipomas to leave you with a flat appearance.  Though no pictures were supplied it would be odd to have continued excess 2.5 months after surgery and I would see your doctor for an in-person evaluation.  Hope this helps.

It depends to what degree - a photo would help - but, in general, it can take several weeks to months for skin to contract fully.  So its appearance now is likely to be close to what the final result will be, but not quite there yet.  You should of course be assessed in person by your own plastic surgeon for a full discussion.  I hope that this helps and good luck, Dr Alan Engler, Member of #RealSelf500
