It's because the muscle in the lower eye pushes forward when you smile. A bit of HA filler such as Restylane could definitely help. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss. My best,Dr. Sheila Nazarian@drsheilanazarian on Instagram
This can be treated with fillers and lasers, and is a result of genetics. please see an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
The muscle of the lower eyelid squeezes as you smile and protrudes forward. Surgery and fillers would not benefit you. Injecting a small amount of Botox directly into the muscle often treats your issue. Make sure a very experienced eyelid surgeon familiar with this technique performs the procedure. Good luck.
I WOULD TRY FILLERS BEFORE GOING IN AND DOING SURGERY , THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAT TRANSFER AND FILLERS ARE FILLER ARE LESS INVASIVE AND CAN LAST 6-9 MONTHS SOMETIMES UP TO A YEAR DEPENDING ON WHICH ONES. FAT TRANSFERS ARE USUALLY SURGICALLY DONE WITH LIPO AND TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER AREA OF THE BODY. A FAT TRANSFER CAN ALSO BE DONE THROUGH A LOCAL AFTER SURGERY FOR A REPEAT FAT INJECTION. FAT INJECTIONS OR TRANSFERS ARE USUALLY MORE PERMANENT. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT YOU MAY WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT IN A CONSULTATION AND SEE WHAT YOUR OPTIONS ARE.
The bulge under eyes is likely combination of orbitat fat (bags) and skin, which can be improved with transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty +/- skin pinch. See link below.
The left upper eyelid is slightly heavier than the right upper eyelid. The creases were made too high and the crease is not well defined. There is too much skin and muscle left on the upper eyelid platform. The skin on the eyelid platform needs to be snugged like a bedsheet....
Dear stephanieaciz, Thank you for your clinical post and unusual presentation. It is unlikely from the short-term taping that you performed on your upper lid that any long-term deformity would occur as this would require significant detachment of underlying tissues, which is improbable...
I normally wait 2-3 months after lower eyelid bleph before injecting filler into the lower eyelids. You want to be certain that all the swelling has diminished to a point where it will not alter the amount of filler placed.
