Can I use and Epipen to ease shortness of breath after Botox?

Question

Hi, I have Botox (Dysport) injected in to main hairline (all around) over two weeks ago and since then have experienced difficulty breathing whilst running and swelling feeling in my neck. I went to A and E today and they took bloods and said it would go on it's own. However I am not happy with this as I am very sporty and want to exercise; would using an Epipen take me back to Normal since the hospital didn't administer anything and I am unprepared to wait? Thanks

The epipen is for life threatening anaphylaxis You are having mild systemic botulism symptoms.  Do not get more botulinum toxin. If you feel you are having trouble breathing, please take yourself to the emergency room.  You need to see a physician who understands this syndrome.  A neurologist who works with larger dose of botox will know how to mange these symptoms.  For a period of time you may need to sleep sitting up or prop up the head of the bed.  The epipen can be harmful, don't misuse it.

The answer is a resounding NO. you are not having an anaphylactic reaction and epipen is made for that and contains epinephrine which will adversely affect you. See your family doctor as this is not related to your botox injection
